It's a No from me, dawgNot half as good as the old formula, is in fact flaky unlike what the description says, has a strong chemical smell, brush isn't as precise, and after having it for about 2 weeks the mouth of the container has gotten super goopy even though I've made a conscious effort to not wipe off any product onto it. It also creases on hooded eyes as well as rubs off INCREDIBLY easy. Like, brush a hair away from hour eye with your finger and wipe off your whole wing level of easy. Don't know why they'd pull a perfectly good product and then bring it back worse than ever. 2 stars because it's fine in a pinch for the price and the matte is pretty despite how strong the bad smell is.

BRING BACK THE OLD MATTE FORMULA!!The brush tip is amazing, the packaging is cute and sweet, but I DESPISE the formula. It is nowhere near the original, this ‘original’ formula in the vivid matte flakes, feels heavy on the eyes and is nowhere near as waterproof as the original matte liquid eyeliner. I seriously don’t understand why you decided to discontinue it, as the product was perfectly fine as is. The epic ink eyeliner is also just as bad, with its goopy formula that is almost like tar. Yes it’s waterproof, but the matte original liquid eyeliner was perfection. Sure nyx is a million dollar company, but you’re missing out across the globe from the loss of the original matte.

horrible, frustrating. give us the old formulathis was my favorite liner for years. i loved the matte finish, how true black it was, how perfect the formula was, and the brush was perfect as well. all these reformulations are awful and has been getting consistently worse for years. it's incredibly frustrating considering this is an affordable price, but not worth it at all anymore. looking for a replacement and will not be switching to the waterproof formula either. the last 3 times i've bought this liner, the formula is too thick and clumpy to work with, dries too quickly to manipulate, and the brush is usually frayed and i see many others having this issue. absolutely awful and i hate it.

Disappointed and sadThis USED to be the best liquid eyeliner on the market. Then, for whatever reason, Nyx decided to discontinue it, and after fan backlash they brought it back but it’s just not the same anymore. The entire bottle dries up after the first use. This eyeliner is streaky and crumbly. It’s nothing like the old formula, which was amazing until they changed it. I have no idea why Nyx decided to ruin their best product, but it makes me really sad. I’m now at the point where I will be shopping around at different brands for a liquid eyeliner that is comparable to the old formula. Sorry, but you’re losing a customer.

I've waited YEARSI've waited YEARS to get this eyeliner again. YEARS. I religiously used nyx liquid vinyl eyeliner EVERYDAY for at least 5 years when it was discontinued. I was literally heart broken. NYX commented on a tiktok Mikayla Nogueria posted when it was first discontinued saying it would be back, but as time passed and nothing happened I figured it would never return. I spent months trying to find a similar eyeliner but nothing compared. I managed to snag a few extras that I finally ran out of this year I started that journey again, and again was disappointed I couldn't find anything similar. I settled for nyx epic wear but I absolutely hate it with a passion. So, when Mikayla Nogueria posted a tiktok reviewing the nyx matte liquid liner earlier this month I IMMEDIATELY ordered 5. Though I wish the liquid vinyl was brought back, I'm happy to have the matte one!
I've searched high and low and I've hated every eyeliner I tried, this is my all time favorite eyeliner. It's been the only eyeliner that is liquid enough to make a SHARP wing, doesn't smear everywhere, is a true black, and affordable to top it off!
Long story short, I recommend.

My Go-To Eye Liner Has NOW Left The ChatI've been a wing eyeliner girl, and I've always used NYX liquid liner as my go-to for about 10 years! In recent years, the previous formula and look were discontinued, and I immediately went to the replacement, which was smaller as well. Now it feels like every time I buy this eyeliner; it's either coagulated upon opening it or lasts for a few applications before it's empty. I feel like I am paying the same amount for less. It's unfortunate when thriving businesses begin to cut corners to cut costs. I rarely leave reviews, but this one was personal and has left me heartbroken.

It’s not the sameI was so happy that they finally brought back the discontinued matte liquid liner because it was my HOLY GRAIL. I slayed my eyeliner each time with the original eyeliner, but this one??? The brush doesn’t seem as precise and the formula is TRASH. It smudges and runs when my eyelids get oily. The other one never did that, if anything it was a pain to get off sometimes. This formula creases too and creates a shadow under my eye. Word of advice? If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. I’m highly disappointed and will not be purchasing again :(

From best eyeliner to Worst!!!!!I used to use this eyeliner since the first time it came out a few years ago, it’s the only eyeliner that works. They changed their formula and brought it back but they might of changed their formula again or ingredients made this eyeliner so bad that it’s so dry it comes out in chunks. It’s not worth it anymore very disappointing, I keep buying it in every store and I haven’t had a good liquid eyeliners I have to keep returning them it’s ridiculous. This has been going on for months and clearly they don’t want to fix the issues
